Canastra 360° - the unique experience

Day 1 – Arrival at Sacramento. Check in. Free day. Optional City Tour or Waterfall tour. Day 2- Soon after our breakfast we start with a city tour in SACRAMENTO including “Gruta dos Palhares” (passport stamp), one of the biggest sandstone cave in the Américas. We then leave towards the National Park, with a short stop at “Desemboque” village (passport stamp), that brings history from the golden time in Brasil and also learn more from the development of central Brasil. We arrive at the inn by the end of the day. Day 3 – After a delicious breakfast we have the opportunity to do a 1000 meter nature trail to the waterfalls. If you wish you can also hide horses. After lunch we go to Delfinópolis for the Ecological Road, passing through “Serra das Sete Voltas” from witch you have an excellent view of the region. On arriving in Delfinópolis we will visit some wonderful waterfalls and spend the night there. Free time at night. Day 4 – We go to “São José do Barreiro”, after breakfast, and our first stop is the waterfall of the “Camping das Pedras” (with bath option). You will have an amazing and surprising program going through 3 mountain ranges, “Serra dos Escravos”, “Serra da Babilonia” and “Serra da Canastra”, beside you will see “Bateia” river and valley of the “Cândidos”, getting to the Serra da Canastra National park at the botton of “Casca D´anta” (passport stamp) (the first San Francisco fall with 182 meters high). On this third night we will have supper with the view of “Serra da Canastra”. Day 5 – After breakfast we set out for “São Roque de Minas” with stops in: “RPPN of the Cerradão” (passport stamp) and “Waterfall of the Capão Forro” (passaport stamp) We will visit the famous “Serra da Canastra” cheese maker in São Roque de Minas, and we will spend the night with friendly likeable people at the inn. Day 6 – After our breakfast we will leave to the “Serra da Canastra” National Park, passing by the visitor center, where we will have the chance to know some aspects of the biodiversity of the park. On the way to the spring of the San Francisco River (passport stamp) we will pass by the “Curral de pedras”, as far as the upper part of the waterfall “Casca d’anta” with the pretty view of the “Garagem de pedra“. Arrival, in the afternoon, at the quiet village of “São João da Serra da Canastra” (passport stamp). Day 7– After breakfast we leave for the “Jota waterfall” (passport stamp) with options of bathing. Then, we enter National Park Serra da Canastra visiting the “Fundão ” waterfall (passaport stamp). Following our way we will have the chance (with a bit of luck) to surprise some wild animals of the region. After that we will to go back with unforgettable experiences. We will finish our circuit of 360° in Serra da Canastra, arriving in Sacramento in the afternoon.
