I was planning a different kind of trip this time.(...)My adventure started in Sacramento, Minas Gerais, at the Maritaca Turismo headquarters.(...) Anytime the very deep red road that extended infinitely in front of the jeep windshield was crossing a stream it was engulfed in a tunnel of trees.
These were tunnels of life. (...)
I still remember the depth and the range of greens in the foliage on the trees closing around the streams and accompanying them to distant places. The feeling was of going through enchanted passes. (...)
Once in the Park the presence of the birds became overwhelming. We were able to spot quite a few even before entering the Serra da Canastra, but inside was truly heaven for the ornithologist. In less then 48 hours, greatly thanks to my guide, I was able to spot over 30 different species of birds. (...)
It is breathtaking to watch even at a distance the water cascading and bringing the beauty of this place to a whole new level. Water flowing from inside the earth is the ultimate symbol of life. The big and small water falls are a great attraction and can be accessed without too much trouble. (...)
I found diving in their chilly waters a must! I did not have a thermometer for proper measurement but my best guess would be that the temperature was around 60o F/ 16o C. Perfect for Soul washing! (...)
The end to the adventure came too quickly since I did not have a lot of time. Yet I walked away from the trip feeling content with all I had learned and in awe with my close encounter with nature. I recommend the wonderful services of Maritaca Turismo and their knowledgeable staff to the curious nature lover, the biologist or ornithologist student, the nature photographer, and the adventurous that have had enough of watching beautiful nature shows from their couches.

Sou de Sao Paulo, moro em Londres, sempre adorei o contato com a natureza. Visitei a Serra com meu marido "gringo" e para minha surpresa tudo foi novidade para ambos na nossa aventura com a Maritaca Turismo. Nao imaginava que o ecossistema do cerrado fosse tao exotico e rico. Amei o cafe da manha na tia, a busca aos animais selvagens, o refresco nas cachoeiras ma-ra-vi-lho-sas, a vontade de fotografar a cada minuto e a noite ao som da viola.  Obrigada guias por tomar conta da Serra da Canastra e da gente... Enquanto escrevo suspiro incessantemente..Serra da Canastra: We miss you! !

Mediante demanda à trabalho pude conhecer lugares 
que devido a vida moderna nos soa um tanto diferente, 
porém nos remete literalmente a uma reflexão 
do que realmente importa nesta vida. 
Lugares bonitos, exóticos, estranhos, engraçados, enfim 
uma viagem muito agravél e recomendável. 
Maritaca está de parabéns pelo atendimento, 
superou as minhas expectativas!

Viajar com a Maritaca Turismo foi para mim voltar as minhas raízes, viajar numa profunda saudade do tempo de criança. Ver a pureza das coisas boas da vida que muitas vezes esquecemos que existem. O cheio do mato verde e do gado no pasto. Como muita cultura, sabedoria, belas imagens que jamais irão apagar da memória. Está ao lado da natureza esses dias foi estar ao lado de uma parte minha que estava perdida por aí, está ao lado da criação nos ajuda a retomar o que somos realmente.

Canastra,serra com forma de baú, baú que carrega uma beleza incomparável, paisagens fantásticas. É sem dúvida um dos lugares mais belos que ja visitei.

A Serra da Canastra e com certeza um presente de Deus aos homens, com um maravilhoso visual de seus paredões, abençoado com lindas cachoeiras, sem duvida apaixonante!

Falar da Serra... bem eu diria que uma das paisagens mais belas que já vi!

Não é difícil definir diante de tantas surpresas, lugares onde parece que a Mãe Natureza se faz presente dia e noite. Entre montanhas, vales, cachoeiras, nascentes e chapadões a perder de vista... a fauna e a flora, interagindo de maneira harmoniosa. Muros e construções de pedras no meio dos campos, um resgate ao passado.

Os moradores, povoados e pessoas simples que faz você se sentir em casa! Realmente inesquecível!!!
