Maritaca

The Maritaca (Pionus maximiliani) – is a bird that is found in abundance in the state of Minas Gerais , flapping its wings below body level makes its method of flight one of its most unique characteristics. During flight, the maritaca is noisy, yet remaining quite quiet when he has landed. This species is generally observed in pairs or in small groups, but can be sometimes seen to be in groups of up to 50.

MARITACA TURISMO is a travel agency in Sacramento MG; that supplies services to Brazilian and Foreign tourists. We do historical, religious and adventure trail tourism in the Serra da Canastra and the Triangulo Mineiro region (Minas Gerais State).
